Ever since his parents bought him his first electric guitar and amp (Sears Silvertone) in 1967, playing guitar has been a musical advocation for Lance ("Lanceman") Nuckolls.  Since his high school days, Lance has played in several rock-influenced bands across the country.  Over the years, Lance has developed a playing style which is inspired by his guitar "heroes" such as George Harrison, Frank Zappa, Joe Walsh, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert King, Otis Rush, SRV, Lonnie Brooks, and Buddy Guy... and is a work-in-progress.

Though he had managed to insert an occasional blues tune in his previous band's set list, Lance now enjoys energizing Unruly Blues and the audience with his blues/rock influenced playing style and modest collection of guitars on stage for a variety of textured tones.

When he's not performing with Unruly Blues or jamming with friends, Lance can be found occasionally teaching in airplanes and gliders, kayaking, or driving (though currently just working) his '66 Pontiac GTO Convertible.
