Ever since his parents bought him his first Sears Silvertone brand electric guitar and amp in 1967, playing guitar has been a musical advocation for Lance ("Lanceman") Nuckolls.  Since 1968 (after he traded in his Silvertone guitar for a new Gibson SG Standard, which he still owns and plays), Lance has played in several rock-influenced bands which have played in many parts of the country.  Over the years, Lance has developed a playing style inspired by his guitar "heroes" such as George Harrison, Frank Zappa, Joe Walsh, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert King, Otis Rush, SRV, Lonnie Brooks, and Buddy Guy.  

Though he had managed to insert an ocassional blues tune in his previous bands' set list, Lance now enjoys energizing Unruly Blues and the audience with his blues-influenced playing style and modest collection of guitars on stage for a variety of textured tones.

When he's not performing with Unruly Blues or jamming with friends, Lance can be found occasionally teaching in an airplane or glider, kayaking, or driving (though mostly working on these days) his '66 Pontiac GTO Convertible.
